CUTTING METHOD FOR PHOTOGRAPHIC FILM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting method for a photographic film by which the photographic film can be cut by a shear cut system without causing a malfunction such as chips and beards (a fine split) on a cutting surface. SOLUTION: A shear cutter 11 is composed of a lower edge 12, an upper edge 13, a sheet feeding roller 14 and a motor 15 to rotate these. Plural grooves 12a are formed on the lower edge 12. A mutual interval between the plural grooves 12a corresponds to a standard of a width dimension of a photographic film 1a. A gear 16 to interlock with the upper edge 13 is arranged in an end part of the lower edge 12. The ratio of peripheral velocity V1 of the upper edge 13 of such a shear cutter 11 to the peripheral velocity V2 of the lower edge 12 and the ratio of feeding speed V3 of a photographic film sheet 1b by the sheet feeding roller 14 to the peripheral velocity V2 of the lower edge 12 are respectively set in a range of V1=(0.5 to 0.95)×V2 and V3=(0.95 to 1.0)×V2.
