<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge a head while holding the strength of a face part by forming the thickness of a center part of a face part into such thickness as enduring the impact with a ball and setting the thickness in the circumference of the center part thinner than that of the center part so as to provide spring performance with the whole of the face. SOLUTION: In a golf club head 1 formed from a metal material, the thickness T1 of a center part 3 including a sweet spot of a face part 2 is formed into such thickness T1 enduring the impact with a ball and the thickness except for the center part 3 is formed thinner than the center part 3. Namely, an adjoining circumferential part 4 in the adjacent to the center part 3 and an outer circumferential part 5 expanded toward the outside than the adjoining circumferential part 4 are formed and their thickness are so changed as to become thinner as separated from the center part 3. The weight is thus reduced while holding the strength of the face part 2, this reduced weight can be redistributed, and the head 1 can be enlarged without changing the head weight.</p> |
