<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly carry out the transportation and laying operations even in a narrow place by transporting a steel pipe to the place just above the position where the pipe is burried while allowing it to run on a member layed over an excurvated groove, then the pipe is put down, and it is layed after being connected to an end of an existing burried steel pipe. SOLUTION: In the vicinity of an excurvated groove 1 a carriage 10 is made to wait, the carrier 10 is raised to a set position by extending a cylinder of a jack 20, and wheels 12 of the carriage 10 are separated from the ground. Then, a member 31 is placed, across the upper surface of the groove, at a lower part of wheels 21 for lateral movement, and the wheels 21 are lowered onto the member 31 by shrinking the cylinder. The carriage 10 is travelled on the member 31 through the wheels 21 and a steel pipe P is transported to the position just above a burried steel pipe in the groove 1. After hoisting up the pipe P with a hoisting jig 52 to return the carriage 10, the pipe P is lowered to the bottom of the groove 1. Thereafter after the completion of welding and the like thereat, the pipe p is burried with earth and sand to complete the laying work.</p> |
