<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system capable of automatically detecting length of paper to be fed and performing printing operation. SOLUTION: This printing system equipped with a driving system for transporting paper 10, fed to an initial position of printing according to a transportation control signal, in a preset step unit. A paper feeding means for supplying loaded paper to the initial position of the driving system according to a paper feeding control signal is provided with a paper detecting means which is laid at the front end of the initial position of the driving system, activates output when the paper 10 is transported and deactivates the output when the end of the paper 10 is detected and a control means which outputs the paper feeding control signal according to a printing command, prints the paper, outputs a transportation control signal, transports the paper 10, counts the number of transporting steps of zones having an activated paper detecting signal, converts the number into length, compares the value of the length with that of length corresponding to the paper selecting information and completes printing when these values are different.</p> |
