FIELD: operation of sea and river ships. SUBSTANCE: restoration of ecological balance of upper water strata, improvement of feeding base of fishery by sharply reducing destruction of water microorganisms (hydrobionts) resulted from operation of ship's screw propellers can be effected with the help of aerator installed in the water flow oncoming on screw propeller. Aerator is connected with exhaust-gas outflow system of ship' power plant, and exhaust gasses are directed through it. Amount of gasses delivered depends on amount of biomass and composition of hydrobionts coming on screw propeller together with water flow. Aerator of circular type is installed for possible displacement relative to screw propeller depending on ship travel speed. EFFECT: high efficiency. 2 cl, 2 dwg
