Method of punching metal sheet

The method uses a punch to which successive impacts are applied with a critical speed of 450cm per second for steel and 435 cm per second for laminated aluminium, calculated with the expression Vcr.1=G981/E where E and G are the elastic characteristics of the material worked. The punch is held in a position above the work plate with respect to which it is moved perpendicularly. The punch is attached to a cylinder (4) rod (2) with a bias spring (7).
