A closed gas chamber is formed between the housing and the membrane and a fluid chamber inside the membrane. A throughflow passage ensures, within the membrane, an open fluid connection between the two connecting nipples when the pressure in the fluid chamber is lower than that in the gas chamber. The throughflow passage is formed by reinforcement ribs (23-26) extending in the longitudinal direction of the membrane. These ribs are U-shaped in cross-section. Each connecting nipple within the housing has a radial flange, provided with an all-round groove for accommodation of an end edge of the membrane (9).
