The present invention proposes a method for the increase of the yawing moment of a vehicle in the event of understeering, first by only applying braking to the rear wheel inside the curve, where, however, a wheel slip of about 20 % should not be exceeded. To eliminate the tendency to understeering, an additional yawing moment then needs to be applied by the front wheel inside the curve, but the front wheel inside the curve should also only be braked until there is a wheel slip of some 15 - 30 %, in order not to obtain too high a loss in cornering force. In addition, the steering deflection should not be too large, so that the yawing moment exerted on the vehicle due to the braking force on the front wheel effectively counteracts the tendency to understeering and does not reinforce it.
