The weapon has an enclosed chamber (4) controlled by a valve (3) in which a gaseous propellant mixture (5) is ignited to propel a bullet (2) with one or several explosions through a guide passage (1) towards the target. The explosions may be passed through a valve to move the bullet with the pressure of the explosion. The back wall (6) of the weapon damps the explosion shocks by spring force (7), hydraulically or pneumatically. Recoil is further damped by a damping ring (8) and a damping chamber (9).
