The roll-over bar is operated by a comfort drive or crash drive. The crash drive (5) can only be brought into active connection with one of the arms of the roll-over bar and the comfort drive can be brought into active connection with the other arm of the roll-over bar. The crash drive and comfort drive are mounted near each relevant bar arm. The crash drive is coupled to a support lock (25) for the one bar arm and the comfort drive is connected to a support lock (12) for the other bar arm. The drive and lock can be mounted in a common housing.
