A contact spring for electrically contacting batteries, accumulators and the like, which spring, moreover, can be arranged on a circuit carrier (4) by means of a standard automatic SMD-fitting machine. The contact spring has a base plate (1) with an underside which is formed so as to be planar. Spring arms (2), which are guided out of the base plate (1), project obliquely upwards and with their free ends (22) resiliently support the component which is to be contacted.
