The invention concerns a ratchet spanner comprising a chuck (3) which is rotatably disposed in the annular or jaw-like spanner head (1) and is supported such that it can slide axially on steps at the ends of the cylindrical head opening. One end step (14) forms part of the head, whilst the second step is a component of a part (10) detachably secured on the head. The spanner comprises a conical ratchet tooth arrangement (11, 13) which acts between the rotatable chuck and a spring-loaded connecting link (22) which is associated with the head so as not to rotate. The ratchet teeth of the chuck and connecting link are held such that they mesh with one another resiliently so that the relative movement of the ratchet occurs in the axial direction. |
