Rail track welding machine, comprising a machine frame (3) on rail bogies (2) with a welding unit (7), laterally and height adjustable by drives (8), mounted on the frame (3) between the bogies (2). A number of holding units (15) arranged along the frame (3) are each equipped with a rail guide unit (16) having closable gripper elements (20) and actuators (17) for vertical and transverse positioning of the rail guide unit (16).
