摘要 Process for immobilising biopolymers on a solid phase comprises: (a) preparing a liquid phase containing a biopolymer (I) coupled to the first partner (BP1) of a specific binding pair; (b) mixing the liquid phase with a solid phase which has the second partner (BP2) of the binding pair immobilised on the surface, and (c) incubating under conditions which lead to immobilisation of the biopolymer on the solid phase, in the presence of a polymeric immobilisation activator (PIA) which is soluble in the liquid phase. Also claimed are the following: (1) a kit for the process, and (2) nucleic acids immobilised on a solid phase via a non-covalent exchange effect of two partners of a specific binding pair. The nucleic acid is coupled to (BP1). The nucleic acid has a length of /- 1 kb, and is immobilised in a concentration of /- 1000 pmol/cm<2>; or the nucleic acid has a length of /- 5 kb, and is immobilised in a concentration of /- 300 pmol/cm<2>; or the nucleic acid has a length of /- 10 kb, and is immobilised in a concentration of /- 30 pmol/cm<2>.
