The funnel shaped pan (4) swivels forwards on a horizontal axle from the wall from a vertical closed position. The pan's opening (12) is closed in a vertical position. A housing (6) above the pan contains a flushing arrangement. The housing at the same time has a sloping contact surface (11) tightly sealing the pan's opening in a folded up position. The pan is combined with a traditional seated lavatory pan (1) so that the flushing water flows solely through the swivelling pan into the seated pan. The swivel pan has a hydraulic or pneumatic damping appliance cushioning the opening movement. The housing's protective cladding (10) is moved up and down by a hand lever (8).
