Load network arrangement with PE conductor for protection of electrical devices from electric shock hazard

A consumer (load) network with at least one outer conductor or line and a conductor (2) taking on the protection function, protective earth (PE), and a neutral conductor (3). A test current device is used in order to monitor the protective earth (PE) conductor (2) for its functional capability in which a test current is passed into the protective earth conductor (2). In conjunction with an evaluating device (5), a test current sensor (4) supplies an 'open' switch signal to a switching device (7) in the consumer (load) lines, when the evaluation result is below a given threshold value of an actuating device (6).
