Hand held wireless three dimensional input unit for computer systems

The hand held control unit 10 is used to move a cursor or pointer around a three dimensional space displayed on a computer monitor 31. The unit communicates using infra red and ultra sonic signals. The monitor has three infra red sensors 32A,B,C along the lower edge, together with an ultra sonic sensor 33 in the centre. The hand held 'mouse' has a pair of ultra sonic generators 11A,11B set at an angle to each other and a centre infra red emitter 12. Push buttons actuate the devices.
