Solar-powered bicycle with energy converter and buffer storage battery

The bicycle incorporates conventional components of a pedal cycle (3) with solar panels (4) added on both sides of the wheels and frame. Further solar modules are fitted to a weather canopy (1) extending over the seat and handlebars. The energy converter is provided with a buffer battery (6) from which current is supplied to a front-wheel hub motor (5) via a controller (2) when the vehicle is in motion. The battery is recharged from the solar panels and modules when it is stationary.
