PURPOSE: To improve the heat radiation effect of a laser rod for solid laser oscillator. CONSTITUTION: Both end parts 1A, etc., of a laser rod 1 are fixed to a base 3 by a fixing holder 2A, etc. The intermediate part of the laser rod 1 is held by a sleeve 4 which is fixed to the pedestal 3 through the intermediary of a bellows 5 and a thermal coupling holder 6 and the bellows 5 are made a sealing space filled with a high thermal conductivity fluid. Through these procedures, the heat of the laser rod 1 can be radiated not only from the end part 1A but also from the intermediate part without imposing the mechanical stress on the laser rod 1 so that high efficient and uniform cooling effect may be achieved.
