PURPOSE:To obtain a plastic film with hair-line metallic gloss representing stereoscopic and high-class appearance by a method wherein a support film, an adhesive layer, a thermoplastic resin layer and a metallized layer are laminated, and hair-line protrusion and recesses are formed on the thermoplastic resin layer. CONSTITUTION:A support film 1 is preferably a biaxially-stretched polyethylene terephthalate film. An adhesive layer 2 is formed of a heat-proof resin having good adhesiveness to the support film and a thermoplastic resin layer. It is desirable that a thermoplastic resin layer 3 on the adhesive layer 2 is formed of a thermoplastic resin with good moldability such as a cast polypropylene in a nonorientated state. Many circular thin grooves are formed parallel to each other thereby to represent a hair-line roughness 4. Heating emboss process and molding process by a cooling roll at the time of extrusion coating are preferably employed. The surface of the roughness 4 is metallized by a metal 5, whereby the plastic film with metallic gloss is obtained. |
