PURPOSE:To prevent drop and sticking of water onto a thermal cracking catalyst and to prevent deterioration of adsorption performance resulting from heat shock, etc., by providing a roof member on the thermal cracking catalyst which is intermittently heated with a heater and has adsorptivity. CONSTITUTION:Both a thermal cracking catalyst 15 having adsorptivity and a heater 13 for intermittently heating the catalyst 15 are provided in the air circulating path provided in the space to be deodorized. Furthermore a water impermeable roof member 14 is arranged to the upper part of the catalyst 15. As a result, both breakdown of the catalyst resulting from heat shock and water freezing in the catalyst and deterioration of adsorption performance resulting from infiltration of water into the catalyst can be prevented by preventing drop and sticking of water onto the thermal cracking catalyst 15. The excellent deodorization performance can be maintained in a range over a long period. |
