<p>PURPOSE:To always feed a tape stably by adjusting the gain of a tension control loop with a ratio of reel moment of inertia of a supply reel tape diameter found from the fluctuation amount of tape tension generated by the change of tape speed. CONSTITUTION:The tape tension fluctuation amount of the tape 3 between the supply reel 1 and a capstan 6 and the tape tension fluctuation amount of the tape 3 between the capstan 6 and a take-up reel 2 are found based on the detection amount of tension detecting means 4, 5, 12, and 13 in a period when the tape speed is changed. The reel moment of inertia can be found from those two tape tension fluctuation amounts and tape diameters wound across the reels 1, 2 calculated from the tape speed and the rotating speed of the reels are found, respectively, and the gain of respective tension control system adjusted, and a current to be supplied to each of reel motors 8, 9 is corrected. Thereby, it is possible to stably feed the tape by reducing the fluctuation of tension even when any kind of reel is used.</p> |
