PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contribute to reductions in the cost and size of a developing device (process cartridge), to eliminate the need to make a level sensor hole into a developing container wall (process cartridge frame body), and to detect an amount of remaining developer regardless of a change in position in which the developing device (process cartridge) is put when attached. SOLUTION: In the image forming device, where the developing device having a developer container 11 for the storage of developer 10 is freely detachably supported by the main body of it, the main body is provided with a level sensor 3a which detects an amount of remaining developer 10 in the developer container 11 in contact with the wall surface of the developer container 11 when the developing device is mounted on the main body of the image forming device. |
