PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of a gear ramming sound in the case of performing a shift change from a 'D' range or 'R' range to an 'N' range or 'P' range during stopping of an electric motor vehicle. SOLUTION: In an electric motor vehicle provided with a transmission between a motor 1 and a drive wheel, when the vehicle is detected to be substantially in a stop condition by a car stop detection means 26, when a shift change from a 'D' range or 'R' range to an 'N' range or 'P' range is detected by a shift change detection means 27, a torque command value of the motor 1 is gradually decreased toward zero by a torque command value gradual decrease means 28. In this way, a surface pressure in a meshing part of a gear in the transmission is slowly decreased, so as to prevent generation of a ramming sound due to repulsion of the gear. |
