METHOD FOR EXTRACTING PART OF HUMAN BODY AND MEDICAL APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an automatic extraction of respective parts of a human body accurately in a diagnosis image. SOLUTION: A binary coding processing section 5 performs a binary coding processing of a diagnosis image to generate a first binary coded image. A noise removal processing part 6 performs a noise removal processing of the first binary coded image to generate a second binary coded image. A contour extracting section 7 extracts the contour of a candidate area of a part of a human body in the second binary coded image. An area calculating section 8 calculates the internal area of each contour extracted individually. In the comparative judgment 9, the contour under a prescribed area is removed by the internal area and the inside of the left contour is determined as the part of the human body thereby achieving a radiation therapy program accurately.
