COATING LIQUID FOR DYEING WITH VEGETABLE AND METHOD FOR COLORING OR COATING OF WOOD BY DYEING WITH VEGETABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating liq. for dyeing with a vegetable and a coloring and coating method which is suitable for coloring and coating of a wood by dyeing with a vegetable. SOLUTION: This coating liq. for dyeing with a vegetable is prepd. by mixing a vegetable dye, a mordant, and a thickener or a fixing agent together and further mixing the mixture with a wood flour. The wood flour has a size of about 5 to 30μm and is of the same type as a wood for dyeing with vegetables. An aq. solution of a starch glue or glue is used as the thickener or fixing agent. This coating liq. for dyeing with a vegetable is applied with a brush or a spatula onto an object wood, wiped off with a waste, and, finally, the coated wood is thoroughly dried. The incorporated wood flour is also colored with the dye and functions to seal and color woodgrain. Since the wood flour is colored more deeply than the surface of a plain wood, it can serve as a wiping stain (a sealing and coloring agent).
