PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To program and study parameters of an electric switching device. SOLUTION: An electric switching device including a motor starter 2, etc. comprises separated contacts 20, a coil 22 which operates these contacts, two LED indicators 10, 12 provided with a plurality of states, a push-button switch 8, and controlling circuits 6, 26 using parameters 54 which control the operation of the coil 22 and the indicators 10, 12 in response to this switch 8. These controlling circuits 6, 26 have a setup mode and, when the operation of the push- button switch 8 is detected, enter into the setup mode and display a first state corresponding to a first parameter 54 on the indicators 10, 12. A microcomputer 26 is provided to display the value of the first parameter on the indicators 10, 12 when it is detected that the push-button switch 8 is not operated. |
