PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use an inexpensive RC oscillation circuit less than±10% in cost for a baud rate generator, to facilitate circuit constitution and to reduce the cost of the circuit. SOLUTION: Low level width is measured and a counter value whose low level width is measured is saved in RAM(Random Access Memory). Then, high level width is measured and the counter value whose high level width is measured is saved in RAM. When a counter overflows, reception is judged to complete and the counter value stored in RAM is loaded. The number of the bits of the counter values is calculated and a serial command is converted into parallel data.
