摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a damping function is abruptly decreased at a certain deformed state in a structure in which a restrictive structure against deformation like a brake or a stopper is complementarily assembled because a larger relative deformation (stroke) than the main vibration system arises in the mass damper, in conventional mass damper system in which an additional mass is light in comparison with the weight of building SOLUTION: A multi-stage laminated rubber 3 is superposed on the upper face 1a of a building to support a movable mass 2 and an extensible cylinder type oil damper 4 bringing out a resistant force in the axial direction is connected so as to freely shake the head in the horizontal transfer direction and stand straight on the stationary condition between the bottom face 2a of the movable mass 2 and the upper face 1a of the building. And the mass damper is designed to function so that the attenuating force of the mass damper increases nonlinearly and continuously in accordance with the increase of the response deformationχof the mass damper.
