PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an ultrasonic photographing method and an apparatus therefor which achieve a second high harmonic imaging by a scattered compression system. SOLUTION: This apparatus is so arranged to have transmitting means 201-204, 100 and 209 to transmit an ultrasonic sound by FM chirp to a specimen, receiving means 100 and 204-209 which receive an echo from the specimen to compress the received echo signal by FM dechirp. In this case, the receiving means is so arranged to perform an FM dechirping at a frequency doubling the frequency of FM chirp of the transmitting means. |
