PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid level detection method for an automatic dispensing device by which making the cost of a device lower and shortening of adjustment time are realized. SOLUTION: In this device, a disposable chip 9 attached to the tip of an air hose 3 connected to a suction pump 2 is inserted into a sample cartridge 1, for sucking specified quantity of liquid sample for sampling. As this method, first, air is sucked into the air hose 3 in advance. And the disposable chip 9 is lifted above the sample cartridge 1. Next, the disposable chip 9 is lowered toward the liquid level in the sample cartridge 1 while the air sucked into the air hose 3 is discharged. And, with the internal pressure of the air hose 3 during the disposable chip 9 approaches the liquid level as reference, only sudden pressure change is confirmed when the liquid level of the sample cartridge 1 is detected. Based on the confirmation result, it is decided that the tip of the disposable chip 9 reaches the liquid level. |
