PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate the delay time of a train by judging the degree of congestion on a platform in a traffic control system, and thereby lessen the delay time of the train by adjusting its departure time at the previous station. SOLUTION: The following parts are connected, namely, a next station delay computation indicating part 1, a take-in part 2 for the degree of congestion on a platform, a delay computing part 3, a history housing part 5, a next station time table housing part 4, a departing time computing part 6, a departing time housing part 7, and a signal control part 8. At the time of train arrival, by an indication from the next station delay computing part 1, the degree of congestion on a platform at the next station is taken in, the delay time of train departure due to time required by getting on and off at the next station is computed, the departure time of the train at the arrival station is adjusted, and a signal is thereby so controlled that the train can be started earlier. |
