PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer device/method for production of an update data stream by merging plural sequential delta streams consisting of the delta streams showing the change of an original data stream or the preceding delta stream. SOLUTION: A transaction chain 38 is formed among the transaction elements 24, 26 and 28 corresponding to the sequential delta streams 30, 32 and 34 respectively. The data are returned from the final transaction elements 24, 26 and 28 showing the latest revisions against an original data stream in response to the retrieval request that searches for the data byte to be sent to an update data stream 52 out of the chain 38. If the chain 38 is unable to comply with the retrieval request, the original data stream answers the data byte. When no answer is given to the retrieval request any more, the formation and movement are over for the stream 52.
