PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To purify SOF in exhaust gas and unburned hydrocarbons, etc., even in a low temp. region and suppress oxidation of sulfur dioxide even in a high temp. region by using an exhaust has purification catalyst for diesel engine containing superstrong acid as a catalyst component. SOLUTION: The catalyst components consisting of super strong acid such as iron superstrong acid and zirconium superstrong acid and durable inorganic oxide such as alumina silica, are deposited on a durable three-dimensional structure such an open flowing ceramic honeycomb. Thus, the obtained exhaust gas purification catalyst for diesel engine burns and removes carbonaceous particulates, harmful components such as uncombustion hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide even in a low temp. region and is low in oxidation performance to sulfur dioxide even in a high temp. region of >=500 deg.C and suppresses a formation of sulfate. |
