LUBRICATING OIL COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lube oil compsn. which can be used as a lubricant for various purposes because of its excellent stability and lubricity and can inhibit the occurrence of a sludge and the occurrence of a carboxylic acid due to the hydrolysis of a polyol ester oil even when used as a refrigerator oil for a refrigerator using an HFC refrigerant. SOLUTION: This compsn. is prepd. by adding 0.1-2.0wt.% tricresyl phosphate and 0.01-10wt.% glycidyl ether or 0.01-10wt.% carbodiimide to a lube base oil which is a polyol ester oil formed from a 6-10C fatty acid and a polyhydric alcohol selected from among pentaerythritol, trimethylolpropane, and neopentyl glycol.
