PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with cases when one runs a newly set road or an area not shown in map data, etc., by storing information of a path formed by a change of positional information detected by a present position-detecting means and displaying a map on the basis of the stored information. SOLUTION: Information of the present coordinate position calculated at a GPS operational part 12, etc., is supplied to a CPU 13. A CD-ROM driver 14 is connected to the CPU 13 to regenerate to read out data stored in a CD- ROM based on the control by the CPU 13. When the operational part 12 calculates the present position, the CPU 13 reads out data of a road map in the vicinity of the coordinate position from the CD-ROM, and stores in a memory in a graphic processing part 15. The CPU 13, forming graphic data with the use of road map data in a range to be displayed among the stored data, displays a road map or the like on a screen of a display device 31 via an image signal generation circuit 16. |
