PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce artifact in image data generated from a projection scan data collected in a spiral scanning without adversely affecting image resolving power. SOLUTION: In thus method, algorithm by the action of a filter is used after the reconstruction of an image. The inconformity to one type thereof allows dividing of an image data into a background component 54 and a sharp structure component 56. The background component 54 undergoes a filter action 58 to remove artifact in the image reconstruction and the image data. After the filter action, the background data 60 is connected to the sharp structure data 56. The data thus connected is used to generate an image 64 with reduced artifact. |
