<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive light shield device of simple constitution which has high transmissivity, a fast response speed, and a large opening rate and the information transmission device, such as a high-performance printer and a display element, which is equipped with the light shield device. SOLUTION: Air bubbles 4 are formed by vaporizing a liquid opaque conductive material 3 charged in a transparent container 1 by electricity feeding to an electrode wire provided in the transparent container 1 to increase the transmission rate of the conductive material 3 in a very small light transmission area R, thereby transmitting light. Further, the electrode wire 2 is formed of a transparent conductive film and then the light is prevented from being hindered from being transmitted. When the electrode wire 2 is formed of an opaque metal material, a light passing part is formed at the part of the metal electrode wire which faces an air bubble 4 and then the transmission of the light is prevented from being impeded. Further, the electricity feeding is switched by pulsation to increase the response speed.</p> |
