PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic control device to make lockup control valve and a frictional element control valve, simplify the hydraulic circuit, reduce the number of part items and reduce the cost. SOLUTION: It is furnished with a lockup solenoid valve 22 to control engagement and release of a lockup clutch 7, a first frictional engagement element (LR/B) to engage a frictional engagement element only in a part of a speed change step to prohibit lockup or in all ranges and a manual shift valve 24 to judge whether a vehicle is under a lockup prohibition condition or not. A change-over valve 23 changes the lockup solenoid valve 22 over to communication to the lockup clutch 7 or to communication to the above-mentioned first frictional engagement element (LR/B) selectively in accordance with a judgement result of the manual shift valve 24. The manual shift valve 24 is provided in a route from the change-over valve 23 to the first frictional engagement element (LR/B). |
