PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the simple optical receiver in which the linearity is sufficiently enhanced without using a local oscillator. SOLUTION: An optical signal subjected to optical frequency modulation is received and the received optical signal is made incident on at least three optical filters 16 or over whose center optical frequency offering a maximum permeability differs little by little. A change in an output optical level from the optical filter 16 receiving the optical signal is detected through the shift of the light frequency and a reception section 17 with a function of generating an on/off output corresponding to the output optical level receives the output light and the on/off output of each reception section 17 is regarded as a 0/1-bit and given to a D/A converter 14, in which the signal is demodulated. |
