PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a prescribed intake pipe length and improve intake efficiency by arranging an exhaust system and an alternator on one side of the cylinder shaft of an engine, and arranging an intake system on the other side, in an outboard engine provided with the alternator driven by the engine. SOLUTION: In an outboard engine, an engine is arranged, and intake pipe 44 for constituting an intake system and an intake surge tank 45 are connected to a cylinder head 11 arranged on the cylinder body of the engine. An exhaust manifold 50 is connected to an exhaust system 12, and the exhaust manifold 50 is arranged on the side part opposite to the hull of the cylinder body. A pulley 79 is installed on the upper part of a crank shaft, and the pulley 79 is connected to the pulley 82 of an alternator 81 through a belt 80. The alternator 81 is installed and arranged on the side wall of the cylinder body between the exhaust manifold 50 and a fuel pump 800 so as to suppress thermal influence of the intake system. |
