PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a supporting of an air chamber during its transportation and a convenience in working operation by a method wherein a hanger member is stored from a plate surface at a circumferential side into the air chamber during transportation and the hanger member is protected outward during its actual application. SOLUTION: This chamber comprises a hanger member 42 which can be projected out of the surface of a circumferential side plate 14 and retracted into the surface of the circumferential side plate 14 at an upper plate 18 of a main body 20 of the chamber 10 for a hanger type air conditioner in which the circumferential side plate 14 of the main body 20 of the chamber constituted by a bottom plate 12, the circumferential side plate 14 vertically arranged at the bottom plate 12 and the upper plate 18 arranged at an upper end of the circumferential side plate 14 is formed with an opening for use in connecting the air conditioner and an opening 34 for use in connecting a flexible duct connected to an air blowing port at the other end.
