PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply detach an ink tank by freeing the ink tank from the tight contact with a recording head cartridge without requiring a user's force. SOLUTION: An ink tank-extruding mechanism 90 is set at a position where ink tanks are exchanged. The ink tank-extruding mechanism 9 has a solenoid 91 and a pressing member 93 to which the operation of the solenoid is transmitted via a coupling member 92. An ink tank-turning member 98 is rotatably set to a holder 70 of a recording head cartridge. The ink tank-turning member 98 is turned when the pressing member 93 projects, thereby pressing a black ink tank 73 out of the holder 70 in a detaching direction.
