PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly execute the photographing operation of a camera without a long timelag in the case of turning on a power source switch next by moving a lens to a reference position in response to turning off the power source switch. SOLUTION: In order to detect the position of a lens group 4B used both for a compensator function and a focusing function, the number of input pulses of a step motor 112 is used, and in the case of turning off the power source, the lens group 4B is taken to a specified address 0. A position where the part 122 of a moving ring 117 abuts on a 0-address adjusting cam 121 is set as the address 0. When the power source switch is turned off, the lens is stopped after it is moved to the reference position, so that the lens quickly executes necessary moving operation from the reference position and starts the photographing operation immediately in the case of turning off the power source switch next. |
