PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a card user himself possible to update his card by reading and writing the card via a card reader/writer only in its prescribed available period that can be extended. SOLUTION: A card 1 includes a 1st memory area, a 2nd memory area 12 which stores the adequacy codes VC, and a 3rd memory area 13 which stores the factual contents DF. A reader/writer 2 has a recognition program R/IC which reads the card individualization codes IC and a recognition program R/VC which recognizes the codes VC. Furthermore, a radio control calendar clock 21 is unified with the reader/writer 2. When the card 1 is put into the reader/writer 2, both codes VC and IC are decoded by the programs R/VC and R/IC respectively, and the card adequate period that is decided by the code VC is compared with the calendar data base date via a comparison program 22. |
