PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily measure protein mass while eliminating the influence of other components by providing a protein biosensor and a measurement sample injecting part in separate flow passages, and bringing proteins into contact with the biosensor after separating materials other than the proteins from the injected sample for measurement. SOLUTION: A sample for measurement, injected from a measurement sample injecting part 12, is forced to flow only to ward a separation film 17 by a switching valve 16, with proteins in the sample blocked by the separation film 17 while materials with molecular weights not more than those of the proteins (e.g. amino acids, glucose, etc.) are transmitted through the film 17 and discharged from a line 20. The proteins blocked by the film 17 are forced to be back washed by a carrier from a carrier pump 19 and are transferred to a protein biosensor 11. A series of these operations permits only the proteins to be measured electrochemically by the sensor 11. Also, the effect of preventing fouling of the separation film 17 can be expected because of the back wash. |
