The appts. to give a vol. fibre feed to a carding station has an intake hopper (4) which extends towards the delivery conveyor (7) through a shaft (5). Two rollers (6), rotating against each other, are at the bottom of the shaft. Two sensors (10, 11) are at an intermediate section of the shaft, over each other, at the level of the fibre material within the shaft. The sensors (10, 11) are connected to an electronic unit (12), to control the drive motor of the elevator conveyor (2), to set its speed and give a fibre flow which maintains a constant fibre level in the shaft between the two sensors. |
