Connecting flange between metal facing and wooden door frame

The flange (24) connects an upright (2) of a wooden frame (1) and an external metallic facing (12). The flange comprises a body (25) constituted by a thin rectangular plate (26) fixed to a flat head (27). The head has a hole (29) for a screw fixing the flange on the frame upright and also forming a rotational axis for the flange. A section (13) of the metallic facing has a housing (20) for receiving the head. This housing has an edge (22) for locking the head as a result of rotating the flange. Head rotation leads the thin plate behind a return (17) of the section and applies a joint (19) carried by it against glazing (5) installed in the frame. The flange has a positioning tab (31) which ruptures during rotation of the flange around the screw.
