The vacuum cleaner equipped with air cushion bumper expands the air cushion bumper in the protection zone using the air exhausted from sound absorption room, thereby protects main body from external impact or prevents household goods from breaking by main body. When vacuum cleaner operates, air exhausted from sound absorption room(6) flows to air induction pipe(37) through exhaust pipe(6a), and reaches inlet air controller(40). In this case, the pressure of air exhausted from sound absorption room(6) rises in air induction pipe(37), and expands tube(50) of inlet air controller(40). The air is fluxed to inside of air storage bag(35) through hole(45a) and perforating flow path(42a), and then expands air storage bag(35) up to certain pressure. Thus, air storage bag(35) is expanded between body(1) and protection zone(14) so that the bag(35) cushions the impact gave on protection zone(14) from outside. Further, when interior pressure is excessively raised by continuously fluxing air to air storage bag(35), air is exhausted from air storage bag(35) to outside through exhaust controller(35) and pressure drop occurs.
