A portable liquid/solid separator tank having a bed with a drain (28), surrounding sides (3) and a dividing wall (8). A grate (16) overlays the interior of the vessel, bed and sides and forms the dividing wall. A filter (18) overlays the grate, extending up the sides and covering the dividing wall. The separator may be vacuum loadable. The separator is filled with sludge, which separates from the liquid it contains by gravity and hydrostatic pressure, which forces the liquid through the filter. Liquid is drained from the bottom of the vessel, and the solids may be transported and then removed via a gate (10) or by dumping.
